About Christiana Stamoulis

Christiana Stamoulis earned two Bachelor of Science degrees and an MBA, all from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA. As an undergraduate at the MIT department of Economics, Ms. Stamoulis worked as a research associate with Professor Emeritus Richard Eckaus and Institute Professor Emeritus, and Nobel Laureate Franco Modigliani. Both her advisors were at the time advising the Chinese Government on China’s Economic Reform Program and thus, Ms. Stamoulis became involved in this project, with a particular focus on China’s inflation pressure, a major challenge that China faced at the time.

While at MIT, Christiana Stamoulis was elected an associate member of Sigma Xi (the Honorary Scientific Research Society of North America) and received numerous awards for Academic and Athletic Excellence. A member of the MIT Varsity Women’s rowing team, in 1992 Ms. Stamoulis received the NEW 8, Academic All-Conference Team Award. Also in 1992, and again in 1993, she received the Hobbs Award and Scholarship for Academic Excellence.

After her graduation from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 1996, Ms. Stamoulis joined the Boston Consulting Group in Chicago and later moved with the Company to London. She spent four years as a strategy consultant before moving to the Investment Banking industry, joining Goldman, Sachs & Co’s Healthcare Investment Banking Group. A prominent figure in the Biopharmaceuticals industry, Christiana Stamoulis is a Managing Director in the Health Care Group of Citigroup’s Investment Banking Division.

Due to her years of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, stellar reputation as an investment banker and long track record of high-profile M&A and corporate finance transactions, Citigroup recruited Ms. Stamoulis in 2006 to help expand the Company’s investment banking Life Sciences practice. Christiana is a collector of modern and contemporary art and an avid skier, equestrian and rower.
